This article describes how to access your account settings in Displayr to view and manage:
- General account preferences
- Other administrator settings, including billing and user configuration
- License information as well as reassigning licenses, purchasing licenses, and server time
- Usage of your server time and other actions taken on documents
Most of these settings are visible only to account administrators although non-administrators can access some basic user account settings.
Method
Log into your Displayr account, click the initials icon in the top right corner of your browser window: , and select Account settings.
General tab
In this section, you can make changes to your login and general preferences. These include:
- Password reset
- Time zone setting
- Default language
- New feature notifications
- Displayr AI settings
- Scheduled R update status for the status of scheduled recalculations
The password reset and time zone settings are user-based settings available to all users including non-administrators. The Displayr AI setting is the setting for the entire account and any user on the account can change it, see Displayr AI for more detail.
Settings tab
This section contains basic account and billing details as well as Users and Groups management. You must be an Administrator on the account to access this tab. In the first section containing basic account fields you can:
- Enter/edit company name and account notes.
- Enter default settings for new user group assignments and global group permissions.
- Login policies.
- Manage user passwords and complex password policies including password strength and Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Set your Google Analytics ID which can be used to track the usage of documents in Google Analytics. See How to Enable Google Analytics.
The Billing details section contains:
- Billing details such as contact name, email, country, address, and phone number.
- Auto renew setting - checked by default. This will generate a renewal invoice automatically, which you can amend afterward by contacting support@displayr.com.
The Announcement Message section contains:
- A Message field that will add text to the top of the Documents and Displayr Cloud Drive page.
- Edit theme CSS/HTML (advanced) - you can customize your dashboard by adding customer CSS styling. Click the link to add or edit the CSS. These posts contain working examples of how to use CSS to customize your dashboard:
- Configure Single Sign On (SAML) - note you must be an Enterprise customer to use single sign-on. See How to Enable Single Sign-On in Displayr for more details.
- Pending Bulk Import Jobs - shows a list of Bulk User Import jobs and their status.
- Set Multi-User Accounts - by default, your Displayr account is set as a single-user account. You can convert it to a multi-user account by clicking the Expand button at the bottom of the Settings page. For more detail see How to Change to a Multi-User Account. You can always go back to a single-user account by clicking the Revert to single user company button that appears, if needed.
Once converted to multi-user, a Users section appears containing:
- A table of all users on the account with user info such as Name, Email, Last Session, Password Reset Required, and links to Delete and Reset Password. All users on the account will be listed in the Users section. Click on a user name to edit the user's details. Note that a specific email address can only be associated with one individual Displayr account.
- Two buttons enable you to invite a single user (+ New User) or multiple users (Bulk Import) at a time. The user will be sent an email with a link to complete the account setup. See How to Invite New Users to Your Displayr Account for more details.
On multi-user accounts, the Groups section shows:
- All manually created and default User Groups will be listed. Click on a Group Name to see the details for that group. Here, you can also see the members of that group. See the How to Manage User Groups and Permissions in Displayr article for more details on setting up and managing groups.
- The + New Group button creates a custom User Group manually.
The Webhooks section shows:
- A list of all Webhooks enabled on the account. These are used to set up a connection to another application (e.g. send R updated failures to Slack). The webhook URL is obtained from the other application and entered into the URL field after clicking the New Webhook button. This is most commonly used to How to Set Up a Slack Alert of Updating Errors from your Displayr account.
If you are using a multi-user account, you will see a button at the very bottom of the page where you can revert to a single-user account. To do this, click the Revert to single user company button. Before doing this you will first need to remove all additional users, leaving just one user with administrator privileges (see How to Manage User Groups and Permissions in Displayr).
Licenses tab
This tab lists available licenses and server time blocks that have been purchased and are currently active along with Start/End dates and Total Hours vs Hours Used. Administrators can Assign licenses and Add new licenses or additional server time. Members of multi-user companies without administrator privileges can view only their own licenses.
Individual account invoices can be viewed in the Invoices section with basic details including invoice issue date, payment due date, due amount, and payment status.
The Emails section contains a list of automated email communications sent from the Displayr licensing system including date, subject, and email category.
Usage tab
The Usage tab can be used to extract Displayr account access details.
- Plan Usage - account administrators can view both Edit mode and View mode usage for all users. Otherwise, non-administrators can only see their own usage information. The usage report can be filtered by date/time ranges and administrators can filter the results by up to 15 users. Non-administrators can filter by date range but can only view their own edit-mode usage statistics. Up to 100 results are shown per page, however, a full list of results can be exported to CSV by clicking the document icon to the right of the search boxes. Note that the time zone used for usage results and the search boxes is Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). In the event that Displayr staff need to access a document in order to provide support, no edit-mode usage is recorded for staff. In the User column, you can see the names of users you have invited into your company. You may see (API) - this indicates you are using the API to create or edit a document. See How to Track Your Displayr Usage for more details. You may also see (View / API) - this indicates server time was used for one of your exported dashboards.
- Dashboard Usage Statistics - here you can download a log of different actions that users performed from the Dashboard Usage Statistics section at the bottom of this page. This log contains information about particular actions that individuals perform, such as:
- A filter was applied.
- Which Tab (page in the document) was viewed.
- Which user was conducting each action.
See How to Track Dashboard Usage Statistics for more details.
- Audit Trail - this report tracks when documents are created, edited, and viewed. Select the From and To date range and use the icon on the right to download the CSV file. For more detail see How to Audit Your Displayr Documents.
