This article describes how to add editable placeholders to the Page Master of a Displayr document so that the outputs on Pages have consistent styling and positioning across the document. Available placeholders include:
- Text Box - these allow you to ensure text boxes have the same positioning and font formatting across pages. These are different than normal text boxes, which show the same message across pages. The text box will be empty in the normal view where users can add their own message.
- Content blocks - these allow you to position and resize tables, visualizations, shapes, analyses, custom calculations, and other outputs created across pages consistently. These will show an example chart in Page Master view, but will be empty in the normal view. Users can drag and drop their item onto the placeholder to have it automatically positioned and resized. Notably this does not work with Controls and Images.
- Page Numbers - this allows you to add page numbers automatically to all Pages in the Report. To learn more about page numbers, see: How to Add Page Numbers to a Displayr Document
