How to Add Page Numbers to a Displayr Document

Page numbers can be added to your document either in Edit mode or from the Page Master.  The former will add a number in the lower right, whereas adding page numbers from the Page Master gives more flexibility.

Adding Page Numbers In Edit View

In the toolbar, click Insert more objects > Page Design > Page numbers.  This will insert a page number on the bottom right corner of each page.

In the tools menu (top-left), click View Page Master.

Automatically Add Page Numbers to All Page Master Pages

In the toolbar, click Insert more objects > Page Design > Page numbers.  This will insert a page number on the bottom right corner of each page.

Manually Add Page Numbers to All Page Master Pages

This will add a page number to all the slides in your document that use that specific page template.  To add the same thing to multiple page templates, you should copy/paste it to those templates.

1. In the toolbar select Insert a textbox

2. In the textbox, enter exactly the text:  <#> 

3. Position the page number wherever you want it on the page, and use the object inspector > Appearance > Appearance settings to format the page number as you would like it to appear.

4. When done, click Exit Page Master.

Technical Information

Page numbers are exported exactly as you see them on the page to PowerPoint, PDF, and Excel as text items. In PowerPoint, slide numbers will be dynamic and updated as slides are reordered.

Hidden pages will not be included in the page numbers sequence. Instead, they will show as <#>.

Limitations

• Page number text items are not currently formattable/editable in the Edit view

• Page numbers will not export to PowerPoint Master slides natively. Newly added slides to the exported PowerPoint files will not include page numbers.
