How to Add Guidelines When Laying Out Your Page

You can add horizontal and vertical guidelines to your Page to help layout and position tables, charts, and other objects.

Method

To add the guidelines, click the Zoom setting at the bottom of the screen and select Show Guides.

This will add guidelines to the Page.  You can move these around by hovering over them and then dragging them.  You can duplicate a guideline by holding CTRL and dragging. If you right-click, you can select either Lock Guidelines or Delete.

Restoring Guidelines

If you've deleted a guideline and wish to restore it, select Delete on the remaining guideline.  This will cause both to return.
