There are different types of tables in Displayr, from native aggregated tables to raw data tables and R-based Autofit tables with custom formatting. For an overview of these table types, see How to Select the Type of Table that is Right for You.
This article describes how to create native tables from a data set loaded in the Data Sources tree using several methods.
Requirements
- A Displayr document with a respondent-level data set based on one of the sources outlined in How to Import Data into Displayr.
- For details on how to instead import Excel tables as a data set, see How to Import Excel Tables into Displayr.
Method 1 - Drag and drop
- Select one or more variables from the Data Sources tree.
- Drag the variable(s) onto your Page.
- When you release the variable(s), you will have a table for each selected variable.
Method 2 - From the toolbar
- Select at least one variable from the Data Sources tree.
- Select the .
- The order of the selection is very important. The first selected variable will be placed in the rows and the second (if one is provided) will be placed in the columns. If more than two variables are selected, additional tables will be created for the extra variables. See the animated .gif below for an example of when three variables are selected.
Method 3 - Create tables in bulk
There are additionally a number of built-in scripts which allow you to create crosstab and summary table sets in bulk. See the below for examples:
