This article describes how to create summary tables for every question in the data set (excluding any that are marked as hidden). This is a great way to Check Your Data and review your Variable Sets.
Summary tables can contain multiple statistics, such as both percentages and counts, and they can also be one or two-dimensional in terms of the data that they represent (this is determined by the Variable Set Structure).
Requirements
- A Displayr document with a data set containing case-level data. If you have tables already calculated/aggregated, go to How to Import Excel Tables into Displayr for how to import those and use them to create tables on the page.
Method
- From the Report tree, click + Add to report or just the + sign and select Report > Summary Tables.
- OPTIONAL: If you have more than one data set in the Data Sources tree, you'll be prompted to select the data set to use.
- Select either:
- View and modify only the summary tables.... - this will create standalone outputs for each table directly in the Report tree. See standalone outputs for more information. You will be able to convert these outputs to an output on a page as a separate step, if desired.
- Create summary tables on pages... - this will create one page per table, allowing you to add more content to the page, as desired.
- A new folder named Summary Tables will be inserted in the Report tree, containing summary tables of each question in the data set:
Manipulating tables and controlling their appearance
