Requirements
A data set containing the variables from which you want to create the crosstab.
Method - from the Table menu
- Select Table > Table from Dataset.
- From the object inspector on the right, select the data you want to show in the rows of the table from the Inputs > Data Source > Rows drop-down box.
- Select the data you want to show in the columns of the table from the Inputs > Data Source > Columns drop-down box.
Tip: It is often useful to show the count of observations in each cell of the table by selecting Inputs STATISTICS > Statistics - Cells > n from the object inspector.
Method - from the Data Sets tree
- Select the variable you would like to place in the rows from the Data Sets tree and drag it onto a page.
- Select the variable that you would like to place in the column from the Data Sets tree and drag it over to the table that was created in Step 1 and place it in the Columns field. Alternatively, you can drag it into the Inputs > DATA SOURCE > Columns field of the object inspector.
- OPTIONAL: If you would like to quickly switch the rows and columns, click Switch rows and columns.
