This allows you to, for example, set specific default settings without having to manually set them each time, and have this available across all documents in your company.
Requirements
- Any advanced analysis output from the Report tree select + > Advanced Analysis menu, which has object inspector controls, such as Regression, Machine Learning, and Choice Modeling, or a custom analysis tool as per How to Create a Custom Analysis Tool. The item being saved as a template must not be in an error state.
- All object inspector settings are saved in the template, excluding any data-related inputs (including filters and weight).
- You can select multiple outputs on the same page to apply a single template simultaneously. To instead save multiple items as a template, see How to Create and Apply a Page Template.
- In this example, we have a Binary Logit analysis run from the Report tree select + > Advanced Analysis > Regression > Binary Logit.
Method: Create and Save a Template
1. Select your analysis output and modify the settings required for your template. For this example, we will:
- Change Output to Relative Importance Analysis
- Set Correction to False Discovery Rate
- Tick Absolute importance scores
3. Right-click your analysis output and select Save as Template.
4. Choose a name and press Save.
Method: Insert a Template in your Document to Create a New Analysis Output
1. Click the Template icon from the toolbar.
2. Select the template you saved from the above steps using the sortable and searchable form.
3. Click Insert.
4. Click or draw the outline on your page where you would like the analysis output to appear.
5. Select the appropriate input data in the Data tab to run your analysis with the templated settings.
Method: Apply a Template to an Existing Analysis Output
1. Select the analysis output on your Page.
2. Right-click and select Apply Template.
3. Select the template you would like to apply.
4. Click Apply.
5. Your templated analysis settings will now overwrite those in your existing analysis output.
