This article describes how to align a Text Box when exporting to PowerPoint. In a vast majority of cases, Text boxes exported from Displayr to PowerPoint are correctly aligned. In rare instances when this is not the case follow the steps outlined below to achieve consistent alignment between Displayr and PowerPoint.
Requirements
- A Displayr Text Box object containing text.
- A PowerPoint document exported from Displayr.
Method 1 - Change the font type
Chose a font available on the computer used to open the PowerPoint document. Chose a widely used font such as Arial that is installed on most computers.
To change the font type:
1. Select the Text Box.
2. In the object inspector > Properties > APPEARANCE > Font select the desired font from the drop-down menu.
Method 2 - Change the font size
Chose a font size of 12 or above. Smaller font sizes cause more differences due to rounding errors.
To change the font size:
1. Select the Text Box.
2. the object inspector > Properties > APPEARANCE > Font select size 12 or above from the drop-down menu.
Method 3 - Adjust the width of the text box
If you notice sentences wrapping onto new lines differently compared between Displayr and PowerPoint, try adjusting the width of the Text Box in Displayr and re-export the document. It might take a few tries for it to match.
To change the size of the Text Box, click on the box border and drag it to the desired size.
Method 4 - Split the Text Box text
The last option is to move each paragraph of text (or for more control, each line of text) from your text box into a separate Text Box in Displayr.
