Displayr supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using authenticator apps for standard accounts. If your company uses SSO for logins, MFA must be managed through your SSO provider.
Requiring MFA for all users of a company:
Company admins may wish to enforce MFA for all users of their company to meet internal policy requirements or simply for some extra peace of mind around their account safety.
Company admins can control whether MFA is required for their users by checking/unchecking Enforce Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) on the Account Settings > Settings page. Checking this option when it was previously unchecked will log out all users of the company who do not already have MFA configured, and they will be required to configure it on the next login. When this option is checked for a company, all users that are part of that company, or become part of that company through invites, will be required to have MFA configured and be prompted to do so before being allowed to log in.
Activating/Deactivating MFA for your own user account:
MFA can be activated for your account even if not required by your organization, giving you extra peace of mind about your account security.
You can enable your account by clicking the Activate or modify Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) link on the Account Settings > General page. This will bring you to a page that shows the instructions for configuring MFA on your account. You cannot set up MFA for someone else's account. The Activate or modify Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) link applies to whoever is logged in and clicks it.
Resetting MFA for a lost device or switching to a new device
There are two methods of resetting the MFA for your account to configure a new device:
If you are still logged into your account on a computer, you can click the Activate or modify Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) link on your Account Settings > General page to reset MFA on your account. This method will also work if MFA is required by your company. You will be prompted to log in again and set up MFA again.
If you are no longer logged into your account, you can reset your password by using the Forgot password? link on the login page of Displayr. When you have MFA enabled, resetting your password in this manner will also reset MFA on your account.
