Displayr supports Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) using authenticator apps for standard accounts. If your company uses SSO for logins MFA must be managed through your SSO provider.
Requiring MFA for all users of a company:
-
Company admins may wish to enforce MFA for all users of their company to meet internal policy requirements or simply for some extra piece of mind around their account safety.
-
Company admins can control whether MFA is required of their users by checking/unchecking the
Enforce Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
on their company settings page.-
Checking this option when it was previously unchecked will log out all users of the company that do not already have MFA configured and they will be required to configure it on next login.
-
When this option is checked for a company all users that are part of that company, or become part of that company through invites for example, will be required to have MFA configured and be prompted to do so before being allowed to log in.
-
Activating/Deactivating MFA for your own user account:
-
MFA can be activated for your own account even if not required by your organization, allowing you to have extra piece of mind around your own account security.
-
Enabling or Disabling MFA for your account can be done by clicking on the link
Activate or modify Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
on your account settings page.-
This will bring you to a page that shows the instructions for configuring MFA on your account.
-
Resetting MFA for a lost device or switching to a new device
-
There are two methods of resetting the MFA for your account in order to configure a new device.
-
If you are still logged into your account on a computer:
-
You can use the link on your account settings page, detailed under
Activating/Deactivating MFA for your own user account
to deactivate the MFA on your account and then reactivate it with another device.-
This method will also work if MFA is required by your company, after deactivating your MFA you will be prompted to login again and setup MFA again.
-
-
-
If you are no longer logged into your account:
-
You can reset your password by using the
Forgot password?
link on the login page of Displayr. -
When you have MFA enabled, resetting your password in this manner will also disable MFA on your account and:
-
if it is required by your company, the reset flow will prompt you to add it again.
-
If it was configured by you, you will need to activate it again using the instructions above in
Activating/Deactivating MFA for your own user account
