How to Create a Grouped or Clustered Pie Chart

Requirements

At least one of the following options:

• A table or a crosstab consisting of at least two rows and two columns of data.
• At least two variables. 

Method 1 - via the visualization menu

1. Go to Visualization > Pies > Clustered Pie.
2. Click on the page where you'd like to place the visualization.
3. Under Data > Data Source > Data select the table you wish to display with the chart. 
4. If, instead of a table, you wish to use variable(s), under Data > Data Source > Variables select the variables from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the variables into the menu itself from the Data Set tree. This will be the outer ring of the visualization.
5. Select or drag a second variable into Data > Data Source > Groups for the inner pie.
6. OPTIONAL:  Under Chart, you can make further adjustments to the appearance of the visualization.

Method 2 - using an existing table

1. Select the table.
2. From the object inspector, go to Visualization > Pies > Clustered Pie.
3. OPTIONAL:  Under Chart, you can make further adjustments to the appearance of the visualization.

Note

Important information about editing captions: 

Visualization caption edits may not be retained when a visualization with a nested table is switched back to table. Normally, this only occurs when you double-click the caption and edit the text directly. As a workaround, we recommend using Properties > CAPTION > Edit caption to edit your captions.
