How to Create a Time Series - Small Multiples with Tests for Trends Chart

Requirements

A crosstab with a date/time variable in the columns.

Method - From an existing table

1. Select the existing table that shows the date/time variable in the columns.
2. From the object inspector , go to Visualization > Time Series.
3. Check the Show legacy visualization box in the lower left-hand corner.
   
4. Select Small Multiples with Tests for Trends.

Alternatively:

1. From the toolbar, go to Visualization > Time Series.
2. Check the Show legacy visualization box in the lower left-hand corner.
   
3. Select Small Multiples with Tests for Trends and click on the page where you want to put your chart.
4. From the object inspector , go to Data > Data Source > Data, and select the existing table.

Method - Using variable inputs

1. From the toolbar, go to Visualization > Time Series.
2. Check the Show legacy visualization box in the lower left-hand corner.
   
3. Select Small Multiples with Tests for Trends and click on the page where you want to put your chart.
4. In the Rows box, select the variable you want, in this example, Preferred cola.
5. In the Date/filter question box, select a date/time variable, in this example, Interview Date.
