This article describes how to go from a table like this, which shows all the rows, whether or not they have any significant results.
... to a table or visualization, which hides the rows with no significant results.
This rule will hide any rows or columns in the table that do not have any significant results. The significance is evaluated by checking the Corrected p statistic against a set level that you can change by editing the rule. You can choose to hide rows, columns, or both.
Requirements
- A crosstab or visualization with significance testing.
Note: You must apply the rule directly to the input table if you see a table icon in the Data > Data Source > Data field in the object inspector of a visualization.
You will also see a warning in the Rules section of the object inspector if you have applied a rule directly to a non-compatible visualization, and you will need to apply it to the input table instead. For example:
Method
- Select the crosstab or visualization.
- In the Object Inspector, select Data > Rules > Rows/Columns > Hide Non-Significant Rows and Columns.
- In the New formatting rule dialog, you can choose to hide non-significant rows, columns, or both. The significance is evaluated by checking the Corrected p statistic against a set level that you can change by editing the rule.
- Click OK.
