Requirements
- A Displayr Document with at least one output, such as a table, chart, page, text box, image, variable, etc.
- If pasting into a new document, the second Displayr Document must have the same subdomain (i.e., app in https://app.displayr.com) as the first document. Also, you cannot cut/copy and paste data sets and variables between documents.
Methods
Copy the exact output
- Select the output on your page.
- Right-Click and select Copy or use Cmd + c on Mac or Ctrl + c on Windows.
- Right-click and select Paste or use Cmd + v on Mac or Ctrl + v on Windows.
- (Optional) Re-arrange the pasted output on the page to make both items fully visible.
Copy the underlying data from an output
- Select the output on your page.
- Right-Click the item and select Copy > Copy Data.
- Right-Click and select Paste or use Cmd + v on Mac or Ctrl + v on Windows.
Or use Right-Click and select Paste > Paste as plain text to paste the data in the table as a text box. - (Optional) Re-arrange the pasted output on the page to make both items fully visible.
Copy the output and embed a live version of it in a different Displayr document
You can embed an output, such as a chart or table, from one Displayr document into another (in the same Displayr account). It will then update when the source document is updated and republished.
- Select the output you want to embed on your page.
- Right-Click and select Copy.
- Go to the second Displayr document.
- Right-click and select Paste > Paste as Embedded Object to embed the output in the second document.
To publish any changes to the embedded output, go to the source document and click Share > Embed Object > Update All Embeds.
Note that copying objects between documents will only work if both browser tabs are not in incognito mode and have the same domain, e.g., app.displayr.com.
