How to Customize the Filter Control List in View Mode

When in View Mode the user can filter a Page using the Filter control at the top of the page. This article describes the steps required to add or remove a variable from the list, and how to change the text above the list.

Requirements

Professional Displayr license.
A Displayr Document.

Method - adding a variable to the list

By default, all variables tagged as Usable as a filter appears in the View Mode Filter control menu list.

Method - removing the variable from the list

[OPTIONAL] Before you can remove a variable from the list you must remove it from all outputs that it is used on.
In the Data Set tree select the filter variable.
In the object inspector > Properties select Hidden except in the data tree.
[OPTIONAL] Reapply the filter to any outputs that need to be filtered.
Go to Publish > Publish as Web Pages > Publish (or Republish).

Method - changing the text

In the Data Set tree select the filter variable.
Input the desired text to appear above values In the object inspector > Properties > GENERAL > Label > e.g. Select age...
Go to Publish > Publish as Web Pages > Publish (or Republish).
