When in View Mode the user can filter a Page using the Filter control at the top of the page. This article describes the steps required to add or remove a variable from the list, and how to change the text above the list.
Requirements
- Professional Displayr license.
- A Displayr Document.
Method - Adding a variable to the filter list
By default, all variables tagged as Usable as a filter appear in the View Mode Filter control menu list.

Method - Removing the variable from the filter list
- In the Data Sources tree, select the filter variable.
- In the object inspector
, go to Data and tick Hidden in View Mode Filter menu.
- Go to Share > Publish to web (or Republish).
Method - Changing the text
- In the Data Source tree, select the filter variable.

In the object inspector
, go to General > General > Label and input the desired text to appear above values, e.g., Select age...
- Go to Share > Publish to web (or Republish).
In View mode, the filter label will appear with the updated text:
