How to Color Significant Cells in a Table

This article describes how to go from a table showing exception testing results via the default Arrows and Font Colors setting...

...to a table that highlights cells based on these colored values and arrows:

Requirements

• A built-in drag-and-drop table.
• Color is based on the results of exception testing (Arrows and/or Font colors), whether or not that is turned on for the table. Compare columns highlighting is not supported.

Method

1. Select your table.
2. Go to Data > Rules on the object inspector .
3. To apply the rule, select the Plus (+) > Other Color > Color Significant Exception Test Results.
4. Select the appropriate colors from the Higher and Lower results color pickers.
5. Press OK.
6. OPTIONAL: Appearance > Appearance > Significance > No.
