This article describes how to go from a standard table...
...to a table where for selected statistics we remove the decimal places after a certain number without rounding the numbers:
Requirements
- A table or visualization.
Note: You must apply the rule directly to the input table if you see a table icon in the Data > Data Source > Data field in the object inspector of a visualization.
You will also see a warning in the Rules section of the object inspector if you have applied a rule directly to a non-compatible visualization, and you will need to apply it to the input table instead. For example:
Method
- Select your table.
- Go to Data > Rules in the object inspector.
- Select + > Cell Content > Hide Decimals without Rounding.
- Enter the number of Decimals places to round.
- OPTIONAL: Tick Apply to all statistics.
- If you wish to apply to specific statistics only, leave Apply to marginal statistics ticked and enter the relevant statistics under Apply only to.
- Press OK.
Technical Details
- Significance tests are conducted on the results prior to the modification.
- A footnote is added to explain which statistics have been modified in this way.
- You can choose to modify all numeric statistics shown on the table, or you can select a set of statistics to modify.
- You can also choose whether or not marginal statistics (Statistics - Below and Statistics - Right) are included in the modification.
