To update value attributes by cutting and pasting, follow these steps:
- Select the variable set to update in the Data Sets tree.
- In the Object Inspector on the right, click Properties > DATA VALUES > Values to open the Value Attributes screen.
- Click Export > CTRL + C > OK.
- Paste into Excel (you can use another program, but it is generally easier in Excel).
- Update the contents of the cells in Excel.
- Copy all of the cells in Excel, including the headings.
- Click Import > CTRL + V > OK.
- Click OK again.
