Log transformation is a data transformation method that replaces each variable x with a log(x). This article describes how to apply the log transformation to numeric variable sets, for example:
Requirements
- A Displayr document containing numeric data.
Method
- Select the numeric variable in the Data Sources tree that you would like to compute the case-level shares.
- Click + > Numeric Transformations > Log. This will create a new numeric variable that is the log(x) using R.
- The code that has been used can be viewed by going to Properties
> Data > Attributes > Code. The Code
panel will open, and the code will look similar to below:
