On tables with more than one column, statistics are shown within the same cell of the table on top of one another. If instead, you'd like to show additional statistics to the right of the primary statistic (%, Column %, or Average), you can use the Show Each Statistic in Separate Column rule to put each statistic in a separate column to the right. This article describes how to go from a table with multiple cell statistics above one another...
...to a table that places each statistic in a separate column:
Requirements
- A built-in drag and drop table.
Method
- Select your table.
- In the object inspector
, go to Data > Rules.
- Select Plus (+) > Restructure > Show Each Statistic in Separate Column > OK.
Note, significance highlighting from the original table will be shown in the cells for the first (primary) statistic. It is best to make any adjustments to the variable set in the Columns in a separate summary table without the rule, as the rule can interfere.
This rule overrides the Share > Export Report > Excel > Advanced > Show column comparisons in separate row setting, and thus column comparisons in those tables will still show to the right in a separate column.
