The tool in Q is drag and drop, whereas the stacking tool in Displayr uses patterns in the variable names to stack variables together, see How to Stack Data in Displayr. Sometimes, the drag-and-drop method may be preferable based on how you'd like to stack the data and what is possible using variable name matching.
Requirements
- A Displayr document with a .sav data set.
- Q Professional or Q Reader (a free version of Q Research Software with limited functionality). To install Q Reader, click here. Please note that a Windows machine is required to install.
Method
- Open your Displayr Document.
- Select Share > Export Data > Download Document (.QPack).
Note: When downloading the QPack, if you have files stored in the Displayr Cloud Drive, you will be prompted to download them directly when exporting. - Open the QPack in Q by double-clicking it, or by opening Q and going to File > Open > Existing Project and then selecting the file.
- In Q, go to Tools > Stack Data.

Once the stacked data set is made, you can import it into your current document and link it with the respondent-level data set to create crosstabs using data from both.
