How to Use a Weight Created Outside of Displayr

Requirements

A data set containing a weight variable created in another program. 

Method

1. Select the weight variable in the Data Sets tree on the left hand side of the screen.

2. With it selected, go to the object inspector on the right. 

3. There select the Properties > GENERAL > Usable as weight checkbox.

Ticking this box makes the variable available as a weight to be applied to an output. 

To apply the weight to a table or other output, select the output and from the object inspector go to Inputs > Filters & Weight > Weight and select the weight variable.
