How to Reset the Page Layout, Outputs, and Variables to Their Original Structure

This article describes how to reset variables and outputs to their original structure or size.

 

Requirements

• A Displayr document with any modification made to outputs or variables

Please note this requires the Data Stories module or a Displayr license.

Method 1 - Reset variable data values

1. Select the variable that you have modified data values of in the Report tree.
2. Right-click and select Reset > Data Values.

 

 

Method 2 - Reset variable structure

1. Select the variable that you have modified the structure of in the Report tree.
2. Right-click and select Reset > Variables.

   

Method 3 - Reset table categories

1. Select the variable that you have modified the categories of in the Report tree.
2. Right-click and select Reset > Table Categories.

 

Method 4 - Reset output caption

1. Select the output that you have modified the caption of on a page.
2. In the Object Inspector, CAPTION > Reset.

 

Method 5 - Reset output size

Note that this method will only work on tables and visualization types that have "with Tests" in the name.

1. Select the output that you have modified the size of on a page.
2. Right-click and select Reset > Table Size or Chart Size.

Method 6 - Reset page layout (re-center items on the page)

1. Select a page either by clicking in a blank area on the page or from the Report tree.
2. From there Right-click on the page in the Report section and select Reset > Page Layout.

Method 7 - Reset chart layout

Note that this method will only work on visualization types that have "with Tests" in the name.

1. Select the chart that you have modified the formatting of on a page.
2. From there Right-click on the page in the Report section and go to Reset > Chart/Chart Selection.
