Requirements
- A Displayr document.
- A tabular spreadsheet data (e.g. in Excel, or Google sheets).
Method 1 - Copy and Paste
- Select your spreadsheet table and copy it (right-click > Copy, or ctrl+c).
- In your Displayr document, press CTRL+V to paste it in as an R table.
- OPTIONAL: To change the formatting, select the table and go to Properties > APPEARANCE > Number format and select the desired format (e.g., % or currency) and the number of decimal places.
- OPTIONAL: If at any point you wish to amend your data, select the table and in the object inspector go to Inputs > DATA SOURCE > Edit data.
Method 2 - Paste Table
- Select your spreadsheet table and copy it (right-click > Copy, or CTRL+C).
- In your Displayr document, go to Home > Paste Table.
- In the object inspector, go to Inputs > DATA SOURCE > Paste or type data.
- Paste in the data by selecting CTRL+V.
- Select OK.
- OPTIONAL: To change the formatting, select the table and go to Properties > APPEARANCE > Number format and select the desired format (e.g., % or currency) and the number of decimal places.
- OPTIONAL: If at any point you wish to amend your data, select the table and in the object inspector go to Inputs > DATA SOURCE > Edit data.
Method 3 - Import as a Table
- Go to Home > New Data Set.
- Either click My Computer and select your Excel file, or drag and drop the file into the Drop your file here or click to browse window.
- When Displayr detects tabular data, you will be prompted to choose between adding your data as a table or adding it as a data set. Select Add as a table and select Next.
- OPTIONAL: To change the formatting, select the table and go to Properties > APPEARANCE > Number format and select the desired format (e.g., % or currency) and the number of decimal places.
- OPTIONAL: If at any point you wish to amend your data, select the table and in the object inspector go to Inputs > DATA SOURCE > Edit data.
