Most times the best solution for sorting by values in tables is using the Sort Rows (Automatically Updates When Data Changes) rule, which can be applied to a variety of tables. Tables created via the toolbar by Table > Paste or Enter Table also has the option of sorting (as well as other manipulations) using fields in the object inspector. This article describes how to go from an unsorted pasted or entered table...
...to a sorted table by using the field in the object inspector
Requirements
A table that has been created using Table > Paste or Enter Table by using the Inputs > DATA SOURCE > Paste or type data option. This method can also work on other tables, like, tables generated in Custom Calculations (or other tables generated with R code), and auto-fit tables.
Method
1. Select the table.
2. Go to Data > Row Manipulations > Sort rows on the object inspector to change the row order.
3. Tick Sort in decreasing order to sort from highest to lowest.
4. OPTIONAL: If your table has multiple columns, you can use the Column used for sorting rows field to choose what column to sort by using either a column index number or name.
5. OPTIONAL: Add label names to Rows to exclude from sorting if desired.
